Hi, I am Amitabh,
I grew up in the small city of Bilaspur, India. After completing my medical degree in Raipur (India), I moved to England for my medical residency training.
In 2008 I moved with my wife and 2 boys to the Comox Valley -the place where I am fortunate enough to work and play. I am a keen amateur photographer and enjoy biking, skiing, badminton and spending time with my family.

My postgraduate experience in the U.K. includes several years spent working in Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Paediatrics / Neonatology and Family Practice.
I have been working as a Family Physician at Courtenay Medical Associates since 2008 and as a GP Oncologist since 2013

Hi, I am Adam,
Having practised in Worcester in the UK for 11 years, I moved with my wife and our two young boys to the Comox Valley in 2011 and assumed the practice of Dr John Fitzpatrick. Our boys are both now at University.
Aside from enjoying my work at Courtenay Medical Associates, I enjoy mountain and gravel biking, alpine and backcountry skiing, and fishing (when I catch!).
I also am involved in Medical Leadership and through 2026 will be the President of Doctors of BC, the organisation representing 17,000 physicians in British Columbia.

Hi, I am Xander,
Originally from Cape Town, South Africa, I've been practicing
family medicine in Canada since 2015. After nearly a decade in Prince
Rupert, I moved to the Comox Valley in 2024. When I am not caring for
patients, you’ll find me outdoors—hiking, biking, gardening or fishing
in the beautiful region I now proudly call home.

Hi, I am Mike,

Hi, I’m Cam.
I’m a resident physician supervised by Drs. Peter Gee and Graham Hatlelid while I complete the final stage of my medical training with the fantastic team at Courtenay Medical Associates. Originally from the Sunshine Coast, I had a previous background in health behavioural sciences as well as mental health and addictions medicine. Because I’ve seen first-hand how successful exercise and dietary changes can be in supporting people’s health journey, one of my core passions is preventative and lifestyle medicine. I’m extremely grateful to be able to serve the people of the Comox Valley for my residency training, where my wife and I plan to stay and raise our two kids. When I’m not at work, you’ll find me studying for my upcoming board examinations, or if I’m being really irresponsible, playing outside in some way, shape or form with my family and friends.
Dr. Cam Clayton
MD, MSc.
