Celebrating Dr Reggler
The clinic team had the opportunity to celebrate Dr Reggler's career recently. Over 40 years as a physician and 22 of those at Courtenay Medical Associates. As a compassionate and skilled Family Physician he guided the MAID service in the Comox Valley and beyond.
We're pleased he'll still be working as a MAID Provider in the coming years.
We all extend our gratitude for his time at CMA!
Dr. Maciej Mierzewski and Dr. Jonathan Reggler will be closing their practices
Dr. Maciej Mierzewski will be closing his practice effective July 25, 2025, and Dr. Jonathan Reggler will be retiring effective August 29, 2025. ​

To the patients of Dr Mierzewski and Reggler,
We are sorry that you are losing your Family Physician and understand the distress that this must cause you. As you know, there is an ongoing challenge with Primary Care in British Columbia and, despite some recent improvements in attracting new Physicians, the problem of patients not having a Physician has not yet been resolved in British Columbia or the Comox Valley.
The remaining Family Physicians at Courtenay Medical Associates all have full and busy practices. Unfortunately, we are not in a position to accept any of Drs Mierzewski or Reggler’s patients.
We are actively trying to recruit new Physicians. We are committed to providing the best care and doing our best by the community we serve.
Again, we are sorry for your distress and hope you are able to find a new Doctor soon.
In the meantime, please follow the guidance Drs Mierzewski and Reggler have issued you in terms of the next steps.
